Check the support behind the product.
Give the seller your full address and ask whether both installation and ongoing service are available there. A provider willing to sell equipment is not automatically the business that will attend a fault.
Ask for the service company's name, usual contact hours and written terms for travel, call-outs, labor and batteries. Separate component warranty promises from labor coverage. Find out how appointments are booked and what happens if a part is unavailable.
Before signing off the installation, ask to practice normal use and receive the user instructions. Have the installer explain charging positions and the process for reporting a problem. If someone else helps with maintenance bookings, record the service contact where both of you can find it.
Three questions for your Westerville comparison
- Will the same company handle installation and faults?
- Are there travel or call-out charges for my address?
- What will be demonstrated and supplied at handover?
Before requesting an assessment
Describe the route and the rooms you want to reach. Give your actual OH address and ask the provider to confirm service there. The person who will use the chair should be involved in a demonstration and the final choice of seat, controls and stopping positions.
If you are helping someone else, use the printable checklist together. You do not need to choose a model before discussing the route, but the installer needs measurements before confirming fit.
A useful next step
